ELECTROMECANIBALISM
ELEKTRO OMPANIET
Elektro Ompaniet’s 2005 sophomore album «Electromecanibalism» builds on their debut’s success, further establishing the Bergen-based collective as an innovative force in Norwegian music. The album showcases their unique blend of jazz, electronica, and rock influences, featuring a wide dynamic range from tender ballads to high-energy tracks.
With a largely unchanged lineup, Elektro Ompaniet fuses 70s jazz-rock fusion influences with contemporary acoustic/electric sounds. A notable addition is vocalist Ida Maria B. Sivertsen on select tracks, introducing a promising new talent.
«Electromecanibalism» successfully avoids the «sophomore slump,» demonstrating Elektro Ompaniet’s continued growth and solidifying their position in the experimental music scene. This album proves they can confidently present their music on a global stage.
